polythene addiction

Ugandans are addicted to polythene. Everything on sale in Uganda from cigarettes to food sold in restaurants is covered with polythene which litters the poorly cleaned streets.

The maintenance of Kampala has gone for a toss. The airtime and polythene waste is rampant and people with out toilets are using the polythene as their savior.
House wives love them for preparing food as well lighting Sigiri.

Despite the ban on the polythene great quantities are imported to the country and are freely sold on the streets. One wonders why the laws are passed and nothing is done to enforce them

children begging

Children begging in Kampala is a normal sight and no one seems to see it as a strange phenomena. Not even the government authorities yet it’s the sole responsibility of the state to provide education to its children and make sure all children are kept in school.

Children in Kampala have become the number one source of Labor on the streets because they can generate sympathy from passerby's.

What i found out was that physical abuse and emotional abuse on street beggar children was widespread and at least 4 out of 5 children on the streets have bruises , wounds or broken limbs as injuries inflicted by the parents that send them to beg , passerby's or as a result of fights amongst themselves .

beggars life

THE DOCUMENTARY I MADE IN KAMPALA

The state of karamojong beggars in kampala

Many government authorities say some political leaders and social organizations are persuading the poor to move to Kampala. They allegedly lure them with promises of food and money but are used by NGOs to convince foreign donors to give more money to them.

In a bid to reduce the increasing number of street beggars Thousands have been transported by the government with support from the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and other aid agencies to their region but after a short time they return to the streets and it’s a continuous chain.

According to United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and Kampala City Council (KCC) about 80 per cent of Kampala's street beggars come from Karamoja.

In many instances, women, particularly mothers have been found to be the key decision makers regarding out-migration. Women often made the decision to leave Karamoja with or without children, often because they were neglected or abused by a male relative or husband.

To women, some of the immediate factors that compel them to move are: loss of livestock, poor harvests, abandonment or death of breadwinners or key family members, and the weakening or collapse of social safety nets.

Those who are abandoned believe that they have no other recourse than to beg in Kampala. Many women become angry when their husband takes a new wife and take themselves and their children away. Others leave the region to escape arranged marriages.
Female genital mutilation (FGM) is on the increase in Karamoja according to a report by UNFPA, which states that thousands of girls aged 10-15 are being circumcised and forcefully married off. About 100% of the Pokot girls have undergone FGM exposing them to risks of HIV/AIDS, excessive bleeding and death.

The creator

The African perspective of the creator
In my own observation and extensive research finds that most African languages don’t have the word God.
They instead term him as the creator.
Take for example in my language lasuban meant is creator.
The Basoga call him ibumba waife.
The baganda call him katonda.

Where then does the word God come from????

world peace day

World peace day.
A day to think peace.
A day to wish peace.
A day I wish is every day.
Why should a day of peace be only one?

Evil vs Good

Why does evil win in most part of a human being? You may be a trust worthy person and when you are in the tight position and when you lie for once to save your self you loose the trust you have accumulated for thousands of years.

Evil why do you grow in mans heart? Yet there are other big organs in the human body.
Why are your yields increasing than Good every day ?

Why does the heart carry you easily and leave good?
Are you lighter than good?
Why do you come easily than Good?
Why do you hate peace?
Why are you a friend of most leaders?
Why do you create war?
Why are you happy when people die as a result of you?

Which God is right, which God answers fast?

I know its you my creator not any other. Whenever am going to work sad faces are the ones that greet me. Faces of people in desperation and I wonder why this is around me creator.

I look on as children are begging for survival with their mothers monitoring the activity.
Disabled people that have been condemned by the state of their limbs to being Beggars on the streets.

My creator you have the powers of erasing all these suffering in my community please my creator remove all the sorrow around me.

LASUBAN you’re the one that can erase all these misery from earth.

I have fulfilled my responsibility on earth by praying and meditating about this so that One bright morning when my work is over on earth and I fly home to Zion I will be your happy servant I pray LASUBAN .

Obesity, inner peace, human rights , my tummy and my neighbours tummy

According to the world health organisation “the world’s population is increasingly getting obese and this is mainly as a result of a combination of excessive caloric intake and lack of physical activity.” As the major causes.

When I look out of my window in Zimbabwe, Kenya, Sudan, Ethiopia and Africa in general I see my neighbour craving for my crumbs in my trash I run out and step on them no one eat from my sweat.

It’s a capitalist world I eat from my sweat alone and my family its me, my self, family and I.
God for us all.

I smoke my cigarettes on my balcony every morning my family has to get jobs I have all the technology to heal my family when it gets sick from lung cancer can’t I ? “hahahaha grassshious Gooo…d” thanks for blessing me with life and pulling my neighbours life support plug and giving it to us making us the prosperous nations in human history.

we have all the power and might if they try to breath hahahah i have guns to give them so they keep fighting against them selves so they can still stay hungry

Hahaha if it stops raining as a result of my excessive smoke from my industries and driving my expensive fuel guzzling wheels you know public transport sucks and I cannot stand the smell of my neighbours cheap perfume when it stops raining it’s a mater of blasting silver iodide in the sky hahaha raaaiiinnn in seconds.

When diabetes gets me hahaha I have insulin Hey hey hey that’s not a problem.
If I become obese hey hey hey I have a gym instructor .
Thanks for being my only God and giving me all my neighbours’ blessings as a bonus.

I look on and ask do we need to eat a lot than we need when thy neighbour is hungry?

I walk down one of the slums and I see a grand mother with her grand children 14 and 12 their father died of AIDS. He was the breadwinner in the family now grand mum has to look after her grand children.

She wakes up every day early in the morning to wait for traders offloading their beans to their stores so that she can pick the ones that drop one by one until she gets the ones enough for the day’s meal.

Today traders tied their sacks so hard no bean seed dropped down they have to maximize profits

Her grand daughter that is 14 years is at home very hungry waiting for the beans its too much I cant stand this hunger

An HIV positive man passes by vending HIV in exchange for one bean grand daughter has not eaten in 2 days and she ponders on what to do.

Granddaughter sleeps with an HIV positive man so that she can get the taste of only one bean seed the seed t grows into pregnancy and HIV.

Is the world supposed to be like this I look on and wonder?
Are you at peace when thy neighbor is hungry?
